  • This collaboration comes to fruition with the launch of a limited edition pack, created by the Galician designer, of Malleolus, a historic wine with deep roots that marked a turning point in the winery’s history.

The world of wine and the world of fashion come together in a unique experience based on the values that Jorge Vázquez and Bodegas Emilio Moro share. The designer presents his new collection at Madrid Fashion Week with the support of Bodegas Emilio Moro which is launching the new image of one of its most iconic red wines, Malleolus.

An experience where you’ll be able to enjoy the work of both companies in their respective sectors while their stories evolve together, stories linked to tradition whilst not forgetting that they are avant-garde brands seeking to satisfy the needs of their consumers.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week will be the stage where this collaboration kicks off. Jorge Vázquez arrives at Ifema, supported by Bodegas Emilio Moro, with a collection that is a journey to Marrakech over the years inspired by figures such as Yves Saint Laurent, Pierre Berge, the Rolling Stones, Talitha Getty, Paul Getty and Bill Willis. The seduction and luxury of the East are the common thread of the designer’s proposals for the next autumn-winter 2023/24.

For this occasion, Jorge Vázquez has created a limited edition pack, only 500 units will be produced, for one of the winery’s most iconic reds, Malleolus. The box, with a simple and elegant shape, is crafted in cream tones highlighted by the characteristic orange colour of Malleolus, and when opened, it surprises with a print customised by the designer, which will be the highlight of the MBFW 2023.

Patricia Sánchez, general manager of Bodegas Emilio Moro, states that ‘it is very exciting that a collaboration based on admiration and respect has come together, to see one of our classics dressed by Jorge Vázquez is an honour and a source of pride for the history of our winery. The sensitivity and skill with which Jorge Vázquez has interpreted our wines has been a determining factor in the success of this collaboration’.

The creativity of Jorge Vázquez and the inspiration found in the history of Emilio Moro, has given rise to the creation of three sketches that interpret the essence of the wines of the Malleolus family: Malleolus, Malleolus Valderramiro and Malleolus Sanchomartín.

Jorge Vázquez tells how the design process ‘’was very easy because of the harmony we’ve found in our respective histories; the respect for tradition and the taste for craftsmanship have been the main lines of argument that have inspired me to create these designs’’. These sketches will be included in the purchase of each of these packs as a gift from both brands to their customers.

In this sense, Bodegas Emilio Moro and Jorge Vázquez also find common ground: both brands are positioned within the luxury sector as references and direct their products to a target audience that knows what it wants and values enjoying the experience of tasting a good wine or wearing an elegant and exclusive design.
