Wine and art go hand in hand. To create both, you need to be inspired and feel passionate about what you do. A wine is a blank canvas. Sometimes, brush strokes of colour will come to mind; at other times, the colours will turn dark, and you’ll have to mix them to make everything flow correctly. What happens when you take two steps back and contemplate the piece as a whole? You realise that it is no longer just a painting, but part of your soul.

You have to have a strong personality to be able to start from scratch, know where you come from, our land, care for it, understand it, give the best of ourselves and give it affection, shape and colour. That is all. Our dream began when we discovered the magic of El Bierzo, its people and the personality of the Godello grape. At Bodegas Emilio Moro we love to draw what we dream, to remind ourselves of what the great Picasso once said: inspiration exists, but it needs to catch you working. We don’t make wine. We create wine.

Our white wines are born of the ability to understand nature and convey its many nuances to the palate.

They are a way of saying loud and clear that El Bierzo has a lot to tell us, and the best way to hear it is through a glass of wine.
