A vintage for wines with personality

During the winter the rains were typical, and in the spring the good temperatures accelerated growth, which then slowed down with the arrival of summer. The high temperatures and low rainfall during the summer period lasted until after the grape harvest. These circumstances provided outstanding grape concentration and ripeness. As such, it is a year of wines with a marked personality – full-bodied, with great aromatic density and heft on the palate.

Emilio Moro’s vineyard takes centre stage

Made from Tempranillo grapes from vines specially selected by our technical department. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with subsequent ageing in French and American oak barrels.

The ripe fruit is perfectly integrated with the wood.

Intense and expressive bouquet, with a range of black fruits, blackberries and blueberries at their peak of ripeness. As it evolves in the glass, nuances of complexity, balsamic spices and liquorice appear. On the palate it is fleshy and structured, with ripe, silky tannins that add volume and length to the finish.

History and medallion

Each year Emilio Moro makes a wine in Ribera del Duero whose grapes come only from plots selected by the Moro family and which, by vintage and characteristics, will bring out the best expression of a brand like Emilio Moro. Plots that have served as a fundamental pillar for the production of great wines and that give their name to Bodegas Emilio Moro’s Vendimia Seleccionada brand.

The image of Emilio Moro Vendimia Seleccionada is a tribute to the first labels launched by the winery in the late 1980s, wines that brought with them a whole trail of great wines in Ribera del Duero.
