Boris Champy Beaune 1er Cru Aux Coucherias 2022
An elegant Premier Cru from Beaune, sourced from a steeply sloping vineyard with clay-limestone soils, cultivated biodynamically since 1983. Vinified using whole clusters and aged for 15 months in oak barrels (50% new oak), it offers aromas of cherry and liquorice with a subtle hint of oak. On the palate, it is smooth, juicy and well-structured, with notes of red and black fruits and well-defined tannins. Perfect with grilled red meats, mushroom risotto or aged Mimolette cheese. Aging potential: 8–20 years.
