A surprising vintage
The year was marked by a peculiar distribution of rainfall. 2023 began with a spring of mild temperatures and a rainy June, which encouraged good vine growth and ample water reserves in the soil for the summer, which was dry and somewhat hot. The grapes reached the ripening period with a good balance between alcohol potential and ripeness. They were harvested in good weather, which ensured their excellent health.
It preserves all the primary nuances of the Godello.
Our most elementary and youthful Godello white wine is made with temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Cheerful and youthful
Pale-straw yellow in colour, clean and expressive bouquet with marked notes of ripe white fruit typical of the variety and citrus nuances that bring freshness. This wine stands out on the palate. It has an excellent balance between acidity and creaminess, making it an easy-drinking wine that is at once rich and full-bodied. With a very pleasant aftertaste that beckons you to take another sip.
Polvorete is the youngest Godello wine of Bodegas Emilio Moro and it is designed to be a cheerful and different white wine. Through its freshness and youth, it shows that the land of El Bierzo has a lot to tell. A white wine easy to enjoy but full of nuances.
Through a journey to the essence of El Bierzo, we have come across some of the traces that the inhabitants of the area left thousands of years ago in the form of cave paintings. This testimony, found on the walls of the Cueva del Moro, located a few kilometres from our winery in El Bierzo, has allowed Bodegas Emilio Moro to embark on a journey to the origins of this land and, thus, to get to know the singularity of El Bierzo represented in its landscape, its vineyards and, of course, in its wines. We have drawn inspiration from this legacy and extracted some of the figures that our ancestors represented and which, incredibly, have survived the passage of time to this day. Thousands of years later, the same land continues to bear fruit, and the connection with those ancestral generations remains.
