An excellent vintage
The weather for the 2021 vintage was marked by light temperatures during the spring, accumulated rainfall in April and a summer with slightly lower temperatures than usual, which slowed down the plant’s growth cycle. At the beginning of autumn, rainfall was scarce, favouring the ripening of the grapes.
Maximum respect for the terroir
Made from Tempranillo grapes from medium-aged vines. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with subsequent ageing in French and American oak barrels.
The character of Ribera del Duero
Intense garnet in colour. A complex and expressive bouquet; the personality of the 2021 vintage translates into an interesting balance between the fresh notes of red fruit that are typical of the variety with riper hints of black fruits, coffee, and spices like vanilla and clove. Well-balanced on the palate, with a medium structure and sweet tannins. Easy finish, but with personality and a long, persistent and very pleasant aftertaste.
Bodegas Emilio Moro’s flagship wine bears the name of its creator and alma mater of the winery. It is a reflection of the essence of the area’s terroir and the passion of three generations dedicated to growing vines and making Ribera del Duero wines with soul.
The Emilio Moro labels stand out for their image of a medallion that tells the story of the family from its beginnings. At Emilio Moro we see a photo of Emilio Moro harvesting grapes with his father in the vineyard of La Rendeja (1938).
