La Felisa 2017


La Felisa is the result of sustainable and environmentally friendly wine making procedures and a R+D project that was started three years ago to inhibit the growth of undesired microbial organisms by employing 100% natural tools from our own vineyards. Furthermore, La Felisa is a homage to tradition, roots and family legacy.

Details of the harvest

The 2017 has been an atypical vintage, with abnormally high temperatures at the beginning of spring that caused an early sprouting. Undoubtedly, the most prominent meteorological accident was the frost at the end of April that affected many vineyards in the Ribera del Duero and considerably reduced their production. The summer came dry and hot favoring the regularization of the plant that thanks to the low production did not suffer excessive water stress. The harvest was early, dry and hot, which guaranteed an exceptional health status and optimum maturity rates.

History & tasting notes

Felisa has always been the backbone of the Moro family and now her children pay homage to her. La Felisa is he first organic wine in the brand and without any added sulphites. It is made with grapes from 15 to 25 year-old vineyards.

Winemaking process

18 maceration with skin. This is an organic wine that has been elaborated from organic grapes that keep all of their beneficial properties of red wine; namely tannins, anthocyanins and antioxidants.
