Details of the harvest

The 2017 has been an atypical vintage, with abnormally high temperatures at the beginning of spring that caused an early sprouting. Undoubtedly, the most prominent meteorological accident was the frosts at the end of April that affected many vineyards in the Ribera del Duero and considerably reduced their production. The summer came dry and hot favoring the regularization of the plant that thanks to the low production did not suffer excessive water stress. The harvest was early, dry and hot, which guaranteed an exceptional health status and optimum maturity rates.

History & tasting notes

Finca Resalso is the name of a historic vineyard planted in 1932, the year Emilio Moro was born. This wine, made with the grapes of our youngest vines (5 – 12 years) bears its name.
Intense cherry red color with violet tones typical of this youth. The aroma is intense and very concentrates, sign of indentity of this vintage of 2017. The black fruits stand out with an optium maturity without reaching the jam, the wood notes are subtle and well integrated. In the palate it has a good body of ripe and bright tannin, whith a balance acidity that favors he passage through the mouth.
