Bodegas Emilio Moro continues working in favor of environmental sustainability and gets the Wineries for Climate Protection (WfCP) certification developed by the Spanish Wine Federation (FEV).
The winery has obtained a favorable verification report based on the commitment in the battle for climate change and the bet for the sustainability measured by the following criteria: carbon footprint reduction, the energetic efficiency, water management, and waste reduction.
WfCP is the first and unique specific certification for the wine sector in terms of environmental sustainability. It was created in 2011 to respond to several institutions and wineries concerns to face the new climate reality that is reflected in the vineyard.
With this certification, Bodegas Emilio Moro consolidates its work in terms of environmental sustainability, and it expects to be an example for all the wine value chain. For sure, this is a further step forward in the effort to promote Corporate Social Responsibility, not only in the humanitarian area but also in the environmental area.
The bet for sustainability in Bodegas Emilio Moro is based on the integrate viticulture that respects the environment avoiding synthetic chemical products and that stands for natural and organic products in the battle against vine diseases. Also, with its ecologic wine, La Felisa, Moro Family achieves to release an R&D project that has the aim of inhibiting the growth of the undesirable microbiology using only 100% natural tools extracted from its vineyards.
